Prisms

I’m in a group show in April, amongst a devilish cohort of artists. If you’re a Canberra folk, then pop along and have a look.

Have a show at Rearview Gallery (Melb) at the moment - running for 3 weeks. The flyer makes it seem like a collaboration, but in all fairness it’s really two separate things from Alex and I.

I have another show this month, once again in Canberra. unless the magic money-fairy decides to fly me to Canberra, I won’t be in attendance.

I’ve got a show on at the moment at M16 in Canberra. It opened on Thursday, and runs for 3 weeks. I showed my work ‘Fisherman’s sorrow’.

A few little things about the show I would have changed if I had the foresight, but due to the nature of my work (site-specific installations), it’s often impossible to do. I’m also moving away from this kind of work, so it’s a nice goodbye to that process.

It’s all diamond skulls from here…

SABBATICAL PRESENTS: WINTER PAIRS

Hung + work in progress. Heaps more of these to come, just need the time to scan them and paste ‘em up.

I draw these sort of images whilst on the phone at my horrid call centre job. It’s a time filler, as well as an experiment in doing something creative with found objects (the pens and papers are located from within my office).

I used to bring supplies into work to create with, but I’ve since found a great deal more satisfaction arriving at work with nothing, sourcing materials, and leaving with only my image. My aim is find a unused pen at the start of my day, and to leave it dry by day’s end.

edit: the detail loss of these is terrifying; I will be scan them soon.
